Private Self Defence – What You’ll Learn
If you’re unfamiliar with Wing Chun, the style we teach, it’s a close quarters fighting style originally developed by a woman, (as legend has it). This makes it perfect for smaller opponents against bigger stronger attackers. Wing Chun’s principles are minimum movement and conservation of energy. This makes it perfect for self defence because there’s very few long drawn out movements which are difficult to learn. By contrast, Wing Chun is very simple.
It favours straight attacks, low kicks and strikes which incapacitate the opponent in the shortest possible time, such as eye strikes, for example.
Wing Chun can be learned fairly quickly too for use in a self defence scenario. Instructor Tim Halloran has also studied other styles of martial art and classes can be tailored to the individual depending on their individual needs. See our about us page for more information.
Availibility
Tim is available for private self defence classes on a one to one basis through the week (daytimes) and on evenings and weekends.
