I first found Wing Chun in 1993 and trained with one of Ip Chun’s senior representatives (Sifu Colin Ward) for over 20 years.
The Bradford Wing Chun school was established in 2010 and we moved to a Leeds venue in 2021. We now offer classes in both Leeds and Bradford. See our classes page for details.
In 2021, I found Sifu Daniel Parr in Sheffield – a Hong Kong qualified Sifu in the lineage of Chu Shong Tin. This was a difficult transition. The lineage was very different to what I had previously studied. But I persevered. I realised that in order to continue learning Wing Chun, I had to put down some of my old habits and ideas.
I began sharing some of the Chu Shong Tin concepts with my students and continued to travel to Sheffield to study the Chu Shong Tin lineage.

I always recommend joining a class if possible. Having a number of training partners is an advantage because you will get to deal with multiple different sets of arms! However, private sessions are available for those who can’t attend regular sessions or who are travelling from a distance. If you’re a regular member of the classes private sessions can also help you move forwards more quickly.
